The Doha Tribeca Film Festival 26 - 30 October 2010

I feel like one of those mother's that cannot stop talking about her children .... well I am one of those mothers. I am so proud of what they have achieved in their little lives so far. They are inquisitive, chatterboxes, funny and delightful ..... So before I get carried away, which is not unusual for me to do, let me get to the point. Sean was accepted to join the "Clowning Around Workshop" at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival. For those of you who do not know what DTFF is, to put it in a nutshell it is an off shoot of the original Tribeca Film Festival held in New York and is a community-minded, five-day event that showcases the best of Arab and international cinema, with the likes of Robert de Niro, Selma Hayek and Kevin Spacey running workshops and walking the red carpet. This is priceless, Sean's first attempt at writing an essay - it is very much in the vain of "The Lightning Thief" but what the heck he has adapted it to fit into his own fantasy world. Steve and I loved the spelling of some words - specifically Suck seed (succeed) and worrier (warrior) .... enjoy and have a giggle like we did! Many months lost .....

Mom's birthday with her gorgeous grandchildren Needless to say June, July, August and September have flown by and I have not updated my blog for far too long .... inspired last night to get my act together by a conversation held about Blogs, Twitter and FB, .... I am back and will update all and sunder of our latest family adventures ..... Burj Khalifa way up there Dolphin experience at Atlantis - Dubai June was relatively painless with the last couple of weeks of school going by quickly with end of year concerts, report cards, and farewells to friends who would not been seen for many months to come ... We did spend a rather extravagant weekend at Atlantis in Dubai, where we swam with Dolphins, Fed Rays and did a tour of the back of the aquarium. We took the monorail into Dubai and explored the Dubai Mall, watched the fountains and went to the 120th floor of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.
